honest opinions on everything...I admit I'm fairly new here (lived here about 2 1/2 months) but I know how helpful this website was when I was looking for a place to live so i wanted to give you apt. seekers my opinions. All in all I think Raintree is a pretty good place to live. It's super close to Walmart, Kroger, a theater, the interstate, and an array of restraunts and stores. I love those aspects alone. For the college students..I park in KLot and it takes me about 45 min to get to KLot, find parking, catch a shuttle and walk to class. (so don't think you're gonna be 5 minutes away.lol) The appartments are pretty well kept, minus a few knicks and scrapes. But those are usually covered up my a mega thick coat of white paint.lol. I haven't had any major issues. Maintence has been fairly prompt and i haven't had any thefts from them (but i don't leave anything lying around when I know they'll be in my apt, due to "shady maintence men" stories). It's pretty quite, even though they allow pets I VERY rarely ever hear a bark. There are the occasional loud parties (saturday nights mostly) but no biggie, it's pretty funny if you listen. The walls here are pretty thin, you may hear the occasional snore or bump during the night but for the most part my neighbors are pretty considerate. Although I live at the back end, close to the dumpsters, I've noticed it's easier to find parking back here and convienent to throw trash away, BUT if you're a late sleeper BEWARE. The garbage trucks are a pain on this end. they are sooo loud. they'll beat and bang for about an hour early in the morning and it wakes me up everytime. The appliances could be a little newer, but they work just fine. And the front door has cracks around the seal and the occasional bug or draft gets in. I love living on the second floor, highly recommend it. you get a little extra room for the stairsand this great half wall (sort of like a loft atmosphere), and if you're a fraidy cat like me you can simply put a 2x4 under the door knob and push it next to the stairs and you have burglar proof door. plus having a balcony is great. So i hope i've helped you apartment seekers out there a little. as you can tell i'm pretty happy with my choice. good luck!
