Dangerous Problems lead me to move!!! Pics to prove!

My husband and I lived there for about 4 or 5 months until the problems got so bad that we had to move. They refused to fix anything and some of it was dangerous electrical problems. I would NEVER in a million years move back there. The office staff is horrible. The maintenance staff is horrible. Be sure to keep documents of when they come out to fix stuff and when you call them. And I can see why they have mold b/c they DO NOT fix water leaks! Also, I'm pretty sure one of our neighbors dealt drugs as much as he had people coming in and out.
Complaint #1: To begin with on the day we moved in our apt was supposed to be "professionally" cleaned but unfortantely they did not show up. So, the girl in the office came out and vacuumed it and that was all. Although she did go over it with a vacuumed, I still had to re-vacuum it b/c of the dust where they must have sanded the walls and painted. I ruined a vacuum trying to get up all the dust.
Complaint #2: Not long after moving in we realized that our dryer was not drying properly. It was our personal dryer, so I called a HVAC certified repairman (aka also my dad) who has been in business for over 20 years and he said that the dryer was fine (b/c it was getting hot inside and if you unhooked it from the wall it was fine) but that it was not venting properly. He cleaned out what he could inside the dryer but of course could not go on the roof to finish cleaning it out. So I called the maintance people, and let them know of the problem and asked them to come out. So they did about 2 days later and they said they fixed the problem however, it kept happening. So eventually I had to unhook the dryer from the wall and just allow that to vent out into the apt which of course kept the apt VERY hot. They kept coming out and saying that it was fixed however it was not.
Complaint #3: I had 2 different water leaks. One was in the bathroom around the toilet, which they came out and eventually did fix. The second was around the light bulb in the utility room so every time you turned on the light in there then there would be sparks coming out from around the light. I called many many times and including going to the front office.
Complaint #4: My refrigeration started leaking this black dingy water. I called several times and they tried to fix it but eventually they did order me a smaller refrigerator.
Complaint #5: The downstairs neighbors would party in the middle of week in the middle of the night. Sometimes it would start at 11 or 12 and other times I would wake up at 2:30 or 3 with them playing music and standing outside with the door closed. Now, I do not know what the point in that was but whatever some people have to get up early to work. So I did call the office and left a message and about 2 hours later a security person shows up and they knock it off. Finally they did stop doing that. And I understand that it was not the office staff but in fact the tenant but however they could have sent someone a little quicker.
Complaint #6: After about 2 months of living there and before the problems got really bad, we decided to get satellite tv. So I informed the office of this before having it hooked up and we signed papers for them stating that we were hooking it up. They said that this was fine no problem. So after a few weeks of having it and when the problems started getting out of control, our satellite stopped working. So of course I called the satellite company and they came out. Then the guy took me outside and showed me where the line was intentionally cut. Now I do not know for sure that it was them but the fact that I had been calling about leaks and they were going up on the roof beside of my apt leads me to believe it was them. Also I don't know how anyone without a ladder could have reached it b/c I lived on the second floor.
So of course by this point, I went out to the office and was very upset. I once again informed them off all the problems I was having and let them know that they needed to correct them! I also called an attorney b/c I was fed up at that point with them not fixing dangerous things, such as the light, and he said to write a written letter informing them that if they did not make necessary repairs within I think 20 days (I have the letter saved but do not remember the exact date), that I would assume that they were breaking the lease and would be moving out. So of course in the end nothing was fixed and I moved out.
And oh yea we are now in a dispute with a collection agency b/c they are wanting the money for us breaking the lease. Let me just say this they will NEVER NEVER EVER get the money unless a judge rules that I must pay. And no judge in their right mind will and that is why they have not taken me to court! I do not care if it stays on my credit for FOREVER! They won't see a dime more!

Hey, mthacker0008 don't sweat this anonymous bi@#$. Raintree is supposed to be so professional in what they do but they get embarrassed and make themselves look even more unprofessional by commenting on former tenant reviews. I had one do the same thing to my review. The hell with Raintree, spread the word.

I see you have several concerns. Lets see if you have legitimate issues.
1. your apt wasn't clean. And a staffer from the office came by to clean it personally (Fast, personal service from office staff... thats a crazy idea...). It's not called dust. It's called new carpet and new carpet sheds badly when first installed.
2. Your DAD was the pro. ENOUGH SAID!!!
3. You said these things were fixed. You said it.." they did come out and eventually fix". You didn't live there long enough to have the other leak addressed. I assume this because you said you lived there for 4 months. Besides, it sounds as if they were making every attempt to service your situation(s).
4. You "..called severaal times and they tried to fix it..". Then they ordered a brand new one. WOW! That was definately stupid of them. Going through the neccessary proceedure to get you a new fridge ordered.
5. The courtesy Officer actually showed up and they STOPPED MAKING THE NOISE!!! Maybe he should have ignored any other situations he was handling and rescued you from the dreadful "Al Quieda Party Assasins"
6. The old lets not do the job he wants done but rather creat a whole new highly time consuming, very conspicuous task for themselves... to cut your satellite connection TRICK! YEA, THATS IT!!!!
Look man or woman, some people actuallly respect the opinions of others. Is this more about getting back at them because you're being sent to collections.
IT SOUNDS LIKE RAINTREE IS A VERY DECENT PLACE TO CALL HOME.
OVER AND BEYOND OFFICE STAFF-
RESPONSIVE MAINTENANCE-
WILLING TO SPEND TO MAKE RESIDENT HAPPY-
COURTESY OFFICER RESPONSE-
GREAT DEBT COLLECTORS (KEEPS UNWANTED RIF-RAF AWAY) :-} !!!

I lived in Raintree from 2002 until 2005 and it was okay. I did have some problems though with noisy ass neighbors who lived above me. When I first moved in, there was a family of about 6 or 7 who lived above me who made noise day in and day out 24/7.
Oneday I came home from work and school to find my bedroom window broken out. I called the police to make a police report and also called the office while the police was there. They did not want to come out and fix it until I told them that I had the police there with me and the officer told me that I didn't have to stay there (or I could break my lease if I chose to) if they did not come out and fix that broken window.
They came out later that day and boarded my shyt up with the quickness. I got a new window put in within days.
Another couple moved in above me and the only thing they would do is have sex day in and day out 24/7. One early morning around 4:30 or 5:00, after a sex session, they began lighting fireworks and throwing them off of their balcony. That is the only time I saw a security/maintenance man come out. He knocked on their door and they stopped. Its stupid azz people like that live there..
There is a guy who currently lives there by the name of Corey who smokes weed in his apartment and blasts his music day in and day out 24/7. He has no respect for his neighbors and his apartment is filthy. This is the type of bull that I am talking about. They allow idiots to move in and disrupt the entire community, making it ghetto.
Oh wait a minute...Raintree is now a ghetto apartment community. It was once well respected and not just anyone could live there. Pretty soon they will be accepting Section 8. Bet!

I'm not concerned about it. They can say what they want, I'm sure its that crazy red headed lady in the office. If those pics don't prove what I'm saying then nothing else will. I did not get the problem "FIXED" either or how would I have pics of water that you can tell was there for awhile around that light?

The management at Raintree couldn't find their A$$ with a flashlight and a map. Worst group of individuals I have ever delt with. BlandX
