I was tricked into renting here based on taking a tour of the grounds and seeing the model apartment. I was not allowed to see an actual 1br apartment before moving in. The weekend before I moved in, I went to see if they d actually show me my apartment. It was filthy. The carpet was dirty, and it didn t look like the apartment had been cleaned in any way. Despite having a few days before moving in, I asked that the apartment and the carpet be cleaned. On move in day, it looked exactly the same nothing had been cleaned since the last resident moved out. The Manager wasn t responsive to my concerns.
On top of being dirty and having poor management and maintenance, the ceiling in my apartment has leaked about 5 times in 9 months. As these leaks come from the apartment upstairs, management said they weren t responsible for my damaged property despite the fact that the leak was the result of a washing machine they d replaced 3 times and their air conditioner.
As a result of these leaks, all of which are in the same place every time, there is black mold growing in and on the ceiling. Though the lease specifically says they are supposed to take care of mold, neither the management nor maintenance have responded to these issues. I continuously call the owners in PA, and have also reported the property to Code Enforcement. In calling the city, I learned there have been a lot of complaints against this property.
The staff are ineffective and inefficient, and they could care less if you are getting what you pay for. Service is not number 1, or even number 10 here. Please, look somewhere else and DON T live here.
