Shillito Park Apartments has so many problems that I would probably have several pages to write about. Lets start with the dog crap, as you can see many people have complained about the same thing so the one's who are writing about this place being so great are obviously lying. Maintenance and management also suck. There is a girl who works in the office who likes to hang out with the residents that she likes, let's not talk about the drinking together and the drugs. She has been seen doing drugs in the office with some random guy. Also, fratenizing with the residents seems a little odd. I know for a fact that she had many sleep partners who also live here on the property. Well, enough about the leasing manger, enough said, she is useless as stated by some of the other reviews. As fas as maintenance is concerned, try to get one of them to do some work. That would be nice. They are always seen driving the golf cart around doing nothing. I have had many work orders that seem to just get lost. You have to call several times to get the work done or do it yourself. Actually, it would probably come out better if you did do it on your own. There are two maintenance men that work here but only one seems to really know what to do. The other ------- maintenance guy is absolutely useless, seems like he knows nothing. He is always following the other head maintenance guy around. I do not know their names because I am fairly new here. Currently, I am speaking with Tenant Services on how to go about breaking my lease that I had just signed about 2 months ago. I personally don't think this is the best place to live. Believe it or not, just recently our "courtesy officer" was arrested for drunk driving on the property. I don't know how you can legally keep someone employed who is drunk on the job. I guess he must also have kissed some butt. I know you are probably inquiring about the dog crap everywhere, there are signs posted in every building but nobody seems to care or enforce what the signs state. Those signs should all be taken down. As for the garbage, it absolutely stinks, it is always over-flowing but that is because they allow for local homeowners to illegally dump their trash. Have I spoken to the office about this, YES, and once again, nothing has been done. Lets talk about the parking situation, there is none. Yes, we have stickers from Bluegrass Towing, a lot of good that does, when there is nobody to enforce the parking. I cant tell you when I last saw a tow truck on the property. You are only allowed 1 sticker per bedroom, which sucks because I have 4 drivers in my apt and can only have 2 stickers. My roomates always end up parking either in visitor parking or on the street. I believe that the owners need to be contacted because I am sure that they are not even aware of half of the bull.... that goes on here. Take a ride around the property sometime, we have a broken volleyball court which is currently being used by residents as a garbage dump as well as a litter box for the animals that are loose. If I had kids, I would not allow them to play on or near that! Noise is also a very bis issue around here. There are loud parties, a lot of the time. Don't even bother complaining to the office about this because chances are that the management has/was with the same people that you have complained about. If you do complain, I don't know about you, but I believe that it is against the law to go the apartment that was complained on and then tell them who complained on them. That makes you feel real safe, huh!!!
