Sonnet Cove

This place is UNREAL! I feel like I'm living in the Twighlight Zone... its honestly unbelievable what goes on here. Where to begin??? Well, I found this site today by looking on the internet, trying to find the company that actually OWNS Sonnet Cove, because THE ENTIRE APARTMENT COMPLEX HAS HAD NO RUNNING WATER FOR 3 FULL DAYS NOW!!!! WHAT?!?!?!
Its TRUE!!! Please come over here and ask ANYBODY that lives here. After calling the apartments front office repeatedly, we are just told that they're "working on it". WTF?!?!?!

IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?!?!?!?
CAN THIS BE LEGAL?!?!?!?
DAMN! I can't believe this. Nobody here can even take a shower to get ready for work....
NO WATER?!?!?! AM I LIVING IN BAHGDAD OR AMERICA?!?!?!?!

After asking the "management" who own's the properties (IE.. who can I lodge a complaint to?)... I am told "American Management"... A BOLD FACED LIE and a non-existant company!!!! It turns out to actually be "Pinnacle Realty".

okay, other than having NO WATER FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS, due supposedly to a "busted pipe, we're workin' on it", here are a couple other unbelievable things that have happened to us since we moved here in September (just 3 full months so far):

***NO MAIL DELIVERY ***-
---we noticed AFTER we moved in that our mailbox was broken AND we we NOT GETTING ANY MAIL. We called the Post Office and they told us that they couldnt deliver our mail until the mailbox was repaired! WTF!!! We obvously called the front office immediately and they told us that they would fix it "sometime this week". WHAT? Long story short... we had to go to the post office for FIVE WEEKS to get our mail, until we finally harrassed management into fixing our stupid mailbox.

***ATTEMPTED FINANCIAL FRAUD***-
--in October, we made the mistake of stopping by the front office to ask where we could pick up a money order to pay rent. They said "Oh, we can just save you the trouble, you can just pay us in cash and we'll get the money order for you". What the heck, we had no reason to think we were about to become the victims of fraud, so we went ahead and paid them in cash. Here's the worst part... I actually asked for a reciept on the spot and they said "Oh, we have a new policy where we MAIL you the reciept now"... Uh, okay, strange, but again, we had no reason to believe that the "management" here would actually attempt to PERPETRATE CRIMINAL FRAUD on us, so we went ahead and left, thinking that we'd be getting the reciept in the mail. STUPID US!!! The only thing we got was a rudely worded and threatening EVICTION NOTICE, for "Failure to pay rent" for that month!!!! WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Needless to say, we flipped out, and went straight to the front office, where they told us there was no record of us ever having paid rent for the month, so we would have to pay it again, and a $75 late fee on top if it!!!!
Only after we threatened to CALL THE POLICE on them right then and there did they "find" that, yes, we had paid rent.
Since then, I have spoken to no less than FIVE other tennants in the buildings beside mine who had the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE, including my NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR (who even had a RECIEPT that management claimed was FAKE!!!).

***NO LIGHTS IN THE HALLWAYS****-
--I mean it is PITCH BLACK and UNSAFE here at night. Have you ever tried walking around in pitch black, let alone going up and down stairs in the dark, like most of the tennants here do.

***NO HOT WATER****-
-- there have been 4 seperate occassions in the last 6 weeks where there has been NO HOT WATER in the units for 24 hours or more.

***BUILDINGS FALLING APART***
---There are several instances of unsafe structural flaws in the buildings and tennants have been forced to move out of their apartments because the buildings were literally falling apart.

***DEAD BODY FOUND ON PREMISES***
---In early October a dead body was found by some kids playing on the premises... this is sick, but its true, you can check with the police about this.

***CRIME!!!****
---Several people have had their cars broken into and stereo's/valuables STOLEN.
---Drugs are rampant here, and on some nights you can actually SEE people smoking crack behind the dumpsters. Very charming! Home at Last, right!
--I have on at least 6 seperate occasions heard the sounds of gunfire going off, followed 30 minutes later by cop cars patrolling the parking lots and shining their spotlights around and in peoples windows... one time I even saw the cops chasing some crazy guy around the complex on foot... don't know if they caught him or not, but I saw him running.
--Approx. 3 weeks ago the police staged a raid on one of the buildings near mine, complete with the "Paddy-Wagon" police truck and about a dozen or so cop cars... it looked like an Iraqi war-zone. Very charming.
--One neighbor personally showed me some bulletholes in her car that got there because of some kind of shoot-out in the parking lot at night.

***POOR MAINTENANCE***
--This is a whole different issue that I could go on and on about, but i'll sufice to say that NOTHING EVER GETS FIXED HERE, and there have been several stories about the maintenance guys being drunk on the job, incredibly rude and threatening to people, and even starting FIST FIGHTS with tennants! Nice.
--There is mold, flooding, waterstains, mildew, wiring problems, phone-line problems (on several occasions our phone has just "not worked" for a day or so at a time), CEILINGS COLLAPSE in peoples apartments and are NOT FIXED for MONTHS. This is NOT an exageration. Some of the units literally have fallen apart with huge holes in the ceilings that do NOT get fixed.

i could go ON AND ON AND ON AND ON... I'm just gettting tired of typing right now. Please beieve me, ALL of these things are true, these are NOT even slight exagerations,but only the truth. I have NO reason to make any of this stuff up, I have NOTHING to gain, other than surely being evicted if they find out who's telling the truth on the internet like this.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE EVER!!!!!!

I plan to contact the local County Prosecutor about some of these issues, particularly how they rip off money from people.

If you live at Sonnet Cove, i found some good numbers in an earlier post... Please call these numbers and tell them what you know. If enough complaints are lodged with the right authorities, MAYBE THEN soething will be done. In the meantime, I am still in a state of total disbelief at what goes on here... its incredible. Do NOT move here!
