Can't wait to get the hell out.

Waiting for my lease to come up, but may have to stay for a few months until they get rid of the roach problem now. A few units recently were rented out in my building and after almost three years of living here and never seeing more than the occasional spider, I now have roaches. They've come out once from the pest place to bait the apartment and now I'm seeing even more roaches since then. This is just getting horrible now. I'm afraid that now when I leave I'll be taking them with me, and I don't want to be the next one that someone complains about that brought roaches with them!
On top of that, the pool that is typically over run with delinquents every summer was not even opened this year. The Health Department posted a sign stating that it could not be opened, and when I questioned why, I was given no answers. Which is fine with me that it wasn't opened since it's impossible to have a peaceful hour at the pool with the kids that go unsupervised making it hell for everyone else when you show up for some peace and quiet. And don't get me started on everyone else living here now that speaks another language besides english or spanish. Just completely over this place.

Whether or not your allowed to have pit bulls is up to each individual apartment community. When I lived there you were allowed to have them as long as office staff met them first. I think it takes away from all the truly horriffic things that goes on there for you to mention that. Stereotyping dogs is not what this site is for. If you have lived for the past year maybe you should have mentioned the mentally handicapped girl that pest control found in a closet half suffocated with a bag on her head because her caretake was at the "gym" on property. Also I would move outasap if I were you because when things go wrong with the water pipes it floods the bottom apartments. They had some in my building that had been left filled with water and sewage for FIVE YEARS! They also had a severe problem with black mold.

I wasn't stereotyping pitbulls, I actually love pitbulls and have worked with the pitbull rescue up north in the past. Most apartment complexes don't allow bully breed dogs on the property just because of their mannerisms and from the stereotypes that are already on them. The staff also was not aware of the fact that they had one either and were concerned when I mentioned it.
I actually did not know about the handicapped girl incident. I've been here since December 2006.
And I would love to move out, but I need to wait until the lease is up because it's the first lease I've been on so if I mess it up it could affect my future with signing new leases. It's such a mess. Ugh.

My family and I lived there in 2003 and we got out of our lease due to the black mold problem, just go to walmart and purchase one cheap and once it comes up positive go show them at the office and tell them you want out of your lease due to health problems associated with the mold. That is what we ended up having to do. We got our deposit back too because they did not want to face a suit. Trust me you can get out of your lease if you have proof of mold growing. Test the vents and bathrooms and by sliding door in living room. Let me know the outcome I am interested. Kymom302003@yahoo.com and good luck.
