My overall living experience at Steeplechase was a terrible one, no pun intended.

Outside:
For the duration of my lease, I only remember a couple of times that I had company over because the outside of the building was so run down and to be blunt, skanky (siding was falling off of the building, holes near roof and duct work, wood rot). I was embarrassed to say that I lived there. The grass was always overgrown and shrubbery was hardly what one would consider landscaping.

Inside:
The inside of the apartment was decent. The cabinets would fall off the hinges from time to time. The carpet was old, dirty, and matted down to give a very coarse, unpleasant texture. The appliances were old and rickety.

Staff:
The staff could be best described as a bunch of morons. That goes for the office staff and maintenance. One specific incident that contributed to my moving out of the community was when the maintenance came to my apartment to fix a pest problem and when I returned to my home, there were cigarette ashes in both sinks of my NON-smoking apartment!

Community:
The fitness facility is average. The tanning bed room is really trashy. One of the things that originally attracted me to Steeplechase was the location (tucked away on the corner of Palumbo Drive). However, I was unaware that there was an assisted living apartment community behind Steeplechase as well as assisted living duplexes. Unfortunately, the clientel in these places were not up to my standards.

On a positive note, my neighbors were wonderful--never heard a peep from any of them. Major appliances and utilities were never a problem. In closing, if you are honestly considering moving to Steeplechase, I hope this review has helped you change your mind. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
