Steeplechase is turning into a major slum!!! People leave their trash outside their doors and wait for the trash fairy to pick in uo I guess. There is a section 8, roach motel, across the road, NOISE is out of this world. I walked up to get mail one day and picked up 7 nails from the driveway, I have had 3 flats in 9 months due to this. There are JUNK cars/trucks parked around the place. Most of the people that live here seem to think the people next door to them enjoy THEIR same music and so they keep it extra loud so you won't miss a single beat. I't so BAD, we don't bother to turn our own TV on, couldn't hea it if we had to. My wife and I do not smoke, we were told this building is a "smoke free" building, so we jumped at it. Now we have people next door to us that smake a LOT, the stuff filters into our apartment very bad. Our place smells like WE smoke........ as for my severe asthma, I just suffer with the smoke every day, makes my life a PURE hell and the office people don't do a damn thing other then tell us that it is NOT a smoke free building now, not to mention the POT smells. People next door run a "party central" 24/7, it's loud noise all day and all night and nothing is ever done about it. Grass mowing has become a real joke, they mow parts this week and other parts next week, they also just leave the clippings on the stoops so they can blow inside the apartment when the door is opened. Parking is a problem, no one parks in the provided spaces but rather at the walkways up the steps to the doors, the City couldn't get a firetruck to a doorway if they had to, muchless even TO the building. Speaking of fire department, people burn their grills RIGHT NEXT to the building, I guess they don't know the sidding will burn OR don't care. All they want to do is to fill apartments and to hell with your health, respect, quality of life and for you to be happy and feel good about where you live. STAY AWAY FROM STEEPLECHASE folks. It's "little Harlem" here anymore. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

It is against Kentucky Fair Housing Law to "place" anyone in an apartment because we think that they may enjoy their neighbors. It is called steering and discrimination, in addition, this is also why we can't have smoke free buildings. Unfortunately you don't get to pick your neighbors and neither can we. As for the neighboring apartments, we have no control over where the United States government chooses to place their assisted housing. All we can do is contact their management when residents make a complaint about them. Our courtesy officer has been called out several times for some of your complaints. He has attended to all your noise complaints in a timely manner; has asked your neighbors to watch their noise level and they have graciously done so. He has also come out once because you said that you could smell "pot" coming from an apartment. Fortunately he didn't smell it on the outside or the inside of the apartment. As for your recent complaint about the grill being too close to the building, our courtesy office went over and asked the resident to please move the grill further away from the building and once again he did so without complaint. We have recently hired new landscapers because of problems we had with previous contractors such as cleaning up after themselves. Now you will see a difference in the landscaping and cleanliness of our community. Finally, cars parking in the fire lanes have been an ongoing problem. We have taken the initiative to start tagging the cars for towing, but that is where our responsibility ends. From there, the problem is turned over to our towing company. In addition, if you have any other issue that needs to be addressed, please contact the office directly. We feel strongly that all issues can be resolved between us, without involving a website that is designed to allow residents with serious injustices to complain about their living situation. As I have clearly stated in the above rebuttal, we have always addressed all issues that you have had in a timely and efficient manner. We will continue to do so in the future, and we will also continue to try to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Also I do expect that you will no longer be posting malicious remarks to websites about our community. Unfortunately, sir, we do know who you are and false remarks such as these can result in legal action.
