My husband and I lived at Steeplechase in 2002 til 2004. We never liked it there from day one. We only stayed because we didn't have too much money. We were just starting out. The noise was outrageous. Management could not manage the tenants properly. No rules were ever obeyed. I guess no one ever read their lease. Parking was not great either. People did prefer the sides instead of the parking spots, as one person has mentioned. Now that we are financially better off, we would NEVER move there! We will never recommend it to anyone either. Ma'am I would like to point out that there are a LARGE number of apartment communities in Lexington that are very inexpensive compared to Steeplechase. Therefore your validation for staying here doesn't hold any weight. Also you have been gone for two years now. The management staff has changed and we have intergraded new methods to help us reprimand problem tenants. On a personal note, no matter my financial situation I would not be willing to stay at a place and call it my home if I was uncomfortable or unhappy living there.

I agree with this person. I live there now, I have pictures to backup what a place it is. I have never lived in such a place that made me so unhappy in my life. People park in the yards, in fire lanes, drive through yards, have grills right next to the building, garbage dumped all around the place. 2 mornings ago, at 4:00AM, people are outside partying, Whooping-screaming, raising all kinds of hell, drinking. I have pictures to back all of this up.

Yeah, right!!! I have talked with the folks at Infinity, the owners of Steeplechase. They told me that there are big changes in the works. This was a month ago and the only change I see is the Manager was canned. Nothing else has changed whatsoever. STILL loud music, people and cars. Still parking in fire lanes, still garbage every place except in the dumpsters. The kid over us gets 2 or 3 complains of being loud and fire lane parking every month......... he is STILL here. They will NOT enforce any of their rules whatsoever.

I live in Steeplechase now...11/06. I am getting an attorney and the health department to inspect the place. I had water running in through my wall into the floor. No results until I threatened getting a lawyer. My dryer duct was clogged, they told me it was fixed, and I found my dryer exhaust tubing stuck into a hole created into the wall to exhaust into the wall interior....FIRE HAZARD!!! This place is sub-standard and I am going to pay a lawyer's fee to get me out of this lease rather than pay any more money to this place. Also, I set up my lease from out of state because I was moving to Lexington. The website shows this stainless steel fridge. The real kitchen has appliances from the '70's....rusted and disgusting!
