I have lived here over a year and can say that the complex is much better now than when some of the previous posts were written.


About the renovations: The clubhouse/fitness center/pool/hot tub renovations are complete and are fantastic. Yes, the business center and wi-fi are available too, I use them both frequently. All of the apartments are not renovated yet, but the ones that had issues have been upgraded. I live in an un-renovated unit and it is fine, although I wish we had the new windows and cabinets because they are beautiful. The new tennis court is really nice too, but I am at a loss as to why they installed a badmitton net (or is it a volleyball net') A basketball hoop or second tennis court would have been better in my opinion. Maybe they can change that.

About the office staff: Amazing. You couldn't ask for better. They are professional yet friendly and compassionate. I've been an apartment dweller for 15 years and they are, by far, the best I have ever encountered.

About the maintenance staff: How maintenance issues are handled can make or break your experience living in a complex. On this count, Steeplechase brings its A-game. I have lived in apartments where a request took days or weeks to resolve completely. However, in the few times I have had maintenance issues at Steeplechase, Chester or Mike have responded within minutes (like 2-10 minutes) and fixed the problem correctly the first time. The new-ish maintenance manager, Mike, is a pro and Chester knows his stuff.

Other great stuff:
On-call/On-site security. Off duty police. Haven't had to use them, but am glad they are available.
The free video rental service is an amenity you will actually use. Although, I wish other residents would return their videos in a more timely fashion.
The location is convenient to everything you need.
Dog treats at the office. I can't check the mail without my dog pulling me to the office to get a treat from one of the girls.

What needs improvement'
The pet policy, but it is getting better. Because this is a VERY pet friendly property, there is a lot of dog poo on the grass. This is primarily because owners don't pick up after their pets. I have encountered the same challenge at every pet-friendly complex I've lived so I consider it the price I pay to have a pet.
