As a tenant for two years now I had no problem living here despite the aging and poor condition of the cabinetry, until I came a couple days overdue on my rent because of Labor Day. I left them a check overnite and the next day they returned my check & slapped a notice on my door indicating I needed to pay by the 7th with a certified check otherwise have it forwarded to a collection agency on the 13th. When I asked them to see if they could cut me any slack since out of the 24 months I had lived there this was the only time I was delinquent. They wouldn't have it and instead reinforced the deadline or else. The staff are always in some kind of transition; no one works there who was there last year. They want your business but you have to let them walk all over you if want to stay... unprofessional and undesirable for any institution.

The person who wrote this didn't even understand the letter or the law. The resident would have been filed on for non-payment of rent; not turned over to a collection agency. It would also be against fair housing law to not treat everyone the same. No matter how long you have lived there everyone has to follow the same policies and these are policies that they sign when they move-in!!!
