I have lived at Scottish Links for three years and I overall have been satsified. The apartments aren't really that nice, but we had little money when we moved in, so we decided to take it. My first problem with the apartment is the kitchen cabinets. They are terrible. Not only are they an ugly dark brown color, but most of my drawers no longer work, one cabinet door fell off. You can just tell these cabinets are of extremely poor quality. Secondly, the linoleum on the floor is in poor shape. It wasn't that great looking when we moved in. Thirdly, the maintenance man came by one day and put a hole in our bathroom wall. He put masking tape over it and said he would be back the next day. Never heard from him again. I admit, I haven't really tried to get these things fixed, but mostly because I don't like people in the apartment when I'm not there. My husband and I both work. If they do come when we're home, its usually at an ungodly hour of the morning. About the apartment complex itself, the laundry room is only open until 10pm, which is very inconvenient. The pool also closes at 10. The pool is not nearly as clean as it should be. My car was broken into right in front of my apartment. A person was held hostage here once. This neighborhood has REALLY gone downhill since we moved here. There are numerous bugs of all kinds in this place, roaches, spiders, waterbugs, unidentifiable bugs. I hate them, and no matter how clean we are, they just keep on coming. A mole got into my apartment once, which is really weird. Overall, I would say, look elsewhere, because they also raise the rent every year, and its becoming ridiculous. On a good note, the manager is real nice about being late with rent, even though she does get a hefty late charge. The apartments are spacious, with lots of sunlight. That's about it!
