We moved here as we were relocating and needed a place that would allow us to have pets. We were promised that before we moved in year ago last May that we would have all new appliances, and the kitchens would be completely remodeled. When we moved in the refrigerator was leaking water as it had frozen up and all of the frozen stuff came oozing out. Needless to say nothing had been done with the remodel. The dishwasher never closed properly and had mold growing in the bottom of it. we were desperate, and maintenance did their best to make it accommodating.
The remodel consisting of replacing the cabinets doors did not happen until late October. They did this very quickly and very poorly. It made it look somewhat better, but we still had the same old crappy appliances that barely worked.
During the winter our bill also ran $250, there were gaping holes in all of the sliding doors. They did not seal and you could feel all the cold air coming in. We tried everything we could to seal the doors, and never got it fixed.
I will say that when maintenance was called, they did respond quickly and usually took care of the issue. The problem was there was always an issue and they are constantly chasing their tails.
The lights out side of the building quit working a month before we left. My wife felt very uneasy about leaving the place in the dark, especially after the police came to the door at 2PM looking for a victim, (they had the wrong building). After I called the office about the lights they told me they would have them working by the end of the day. That never happened, and we moved out 3 weeks late.
Upon departure we did our best to clean the place and left it in much better shape than when we moved in. The carpet was in bad shape which was partly our fault and new we would be required to pay for some carpet replacement. However they stuck us with a $900 bill to replace the entire place. We refused to pay it, and negotiated to only pay half, the did accept.
