The weekend I was scheduled to move from out of state, I called to confirm my apartment's availability. It was then that one of the office workers chose to divulge that they had not yet finished putting new flooring in my bathroo. They told me I could still move in but I couldn't use my bathroom until they could finish it THREE DAYS LATER. Where was I supposed to go' I finally convinved them that I needed the apartment to be ready by the date they had promised. Luckily they finished on time. I also discovered later that they offer move-in welcome bags to every new resident. They managed to forget one for me and I wonder if this wasn't because I had made them finish my bathroom floor.
