Great Location, Sub Par Quality

My wife and I lived at Hamburg Farms for one year. Before moving in, I desperately searched various websites, including this one, for a review of the apartments. At the time, such information did not seem to exist, so now I am very happy to be able to add what I hope will be useful to anyone who is considering living at Hamburg Farms. First of all, the location is ideal in most respects. The Hamburg area offers multiple shopping and dining options, which I found to be very convenient at the time. However, for students, especially those going to UK, the commute is simply not worth the hassle. As for the negative aspects of living at Hamburg Farms, I wholeheartedly agree with all of the previous posts. We lived in a spacious two-bedroom townhouse with a garage (which did eliminate any issues with finding parking, which was very convenient), but the quality of the apartment itself was sub par to say the least. The carpet was extremely cheap. In fact, simply sitting on the carpet threatened to leave a permanent indention. All of the kitchen appliances are of the lowest quality possible (it was obvious that the developers were trying to save money in every way that they could). The kitchen floors were also made from very cheap laminate material. The refrigerator was very unattractive and did not offer the convenience of an ice-maker. The stove and microwave were both very basic, and I often had to rewash the dishes after attempting to wash them in the dishwasher.
When we first moved in, it appeared that maintenance had blindly attempted to repaint the walls and I had to spend at least a week trying to clean layers of paint from outlets and any other objects that had come into contact with the walls. Also, as someone had mentioned previously, to touch the walls in the slightest is to bruise the walls severely. Another issue I had specifically was with the maintenance crew's inability to respond in a timely manner. When we moved in, we discovered that our upstairs master bathroom bathtub was leaking and that water from the leak was soaking into the ceiling into the second floor. What resulted was one of the most stressful times in my life as I had to call every week for two months in order to beg the maintenance crew to fix our leak. They would often forget about our leak entirely, which resulted in more and more calls. They eventually had to hire plumbers and painters and the result was a fixed leak, but a damaged, ugly ceiling, not to mention they had to cut out a major piece of our bathroom wall, forcing us to use our extra bathroom for months.
All in all, the decision to move to Hamburg Farms should be based on what you really want from your living experience. If you aren't the type to stay home and enjoy shopping and dining, then you'll probably be happy with your decision to move in. However, if the quality of the apartments is very important to you and you plan to stay for an extended period of time, then you may want to reconsider. At best, Hamburg Farms offers a safe, convenient place to live, even if the apartments themselves are not worth the rather high prices, especially considering how cheaply they are made. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will try my best to respond as quickly as possible.

I am moving out at this moment, and this review is dead-on. (I'll write my own when I have more time.) I can't imagine their turnover rate is anywhere under 80 percent.
