i have lived here for three years. you can't beat the size of a one bedroom for the price, and i really like the location on this side of town. everything is close by. often smells can seep through the walls, such as food cooking. as a single woman, i do not always feel very safe in the parking lot after dark. and visitor vs. resident parking is not usually enforced, even if the towing company is called to report several cars in the wrong spots. the pool is often crowded and not really big enough. it's also showcased in the middle of the parking lot, and not very private. it has been rumored that there have been incidences of indecent exposure to young children by a resident. the laundry room is really inconvienent. the door is supposed to remain locked, and each resident has a key. but has been broken for at least two months and is wide open at all times. 5 out of 10 machines are out of order or just eat up your money. even when reported, these things seem to go unnoticed by the staff. management has had numerous turnovers in the last 3 years-- at least 5 new property managers. the most recent one seems to have quite a chip on her shoulder and can be very rude. she approaches each person as if they are trying to put one over on her without any respect for veteran residents. this is my own experience, but i have heard other stories as well. the maintenence man, Marty, is awesome. he has been a constant on the grounds and he is wonderfully pleasant and very reliable and professional. if you are not a high- needs resident and are fairly independent in getting things done, and not reliant on office staff or the community around you, this may be the place for you.
