A steal

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I lived here for one year (2005-2006) and I wish I still did. The rent was incredibly cheap ($429 for 800 square feet). I had to call maintenance twice: once right after I moved in for a faucet that would not shut off and once when the AC broke. The faucet was a disaster, they came to fix it while I was at work and when I got home the pipe was gushing and there was water everywhere. Emergency maintenance came right away, and stopped the flood but could not fix the faucet, so it dripped the whole time I lived there. The second problem with the AC was fixed right away with no trouble.
I never saw a single roach or ant in the apartment, though a friend who lived in a different part of the complex had a bad ant problem.
I always felt safe. I am a 24-yr-old female and I don't recall ever being scared to walk around at night. I got hit on a few times by some skuzzy rednecks, but that's about the worst that ever happened.
The bottom line is that if you can afford a nicer place, you probably wouldn't want to live here. On the other hand, if you are trying to make ends meet on $18k a year like I was, this is paradise.
