I would highly recommend living in Barrington Place apartments.

A few things to consider before moving in however...

1. Parking
Parking can be a mess downtown. Barrington Place does not have their own parking lot, but there are many options. You can purchase a monthly membership to one of several nearby lots. You can wake up at 7am Mon - Fri to feed the meter on the street. You can get a membership to YMCA and park in their garage (approx. 1 block away). JCC students can park in their lot with a current pass (approx 3 blocks away).

2. Crime, Homelessness, Drunkeness
Please be aware before moving here that Barrington Place IS located DOWNTOWN! You will be approached by homeless people. You will encounter crime of some sort. You will be annoyed by drunks on the elevator at 2am, or you will be one! =)

3. Miscellaneous
Several miscellaneous tidbits...
a. Temperature is controlled by the Barrington Place GODS! You CANNOT controll your own temperature... It's either on or off. You must learn to deal with this loss of control. Sometimes, when there's a cold snap in June, you'll be wishing the A/C wasn't on. And Sometimes, in November when a 90 degree heat wave hits, you'll wish the A/C was COLD!
b. Laundry facilities are lacking. Sometimes they are broken. Sometimes they don't dry as well as they should. Sometimes people don't empty their laundry. Just warning you...
c. The fire alarm is pulled at LEAST every other month. Usually on the weekends. Usually between 11pm - 6am. Usually by aforementioned drunks.

Some good points...

1. No utilities! That rocks
2. HUGE closet space! double rocks
3. HOT HARD water pressure! so totally rocks
4. Beautiful view! priceless
