Management Refuses to Return Deposit- even two years later (!!)... and after being reported to the Better Business Bureau

I had to report them to Better Business Bureau, after they ignored my emails and calls for months.
Even then, it wasn't until they read a negative review on here that they even acknowledged me.
They still haven't contacted me to return my pet deposit, even after emailing them last month in response to their post to my review on this website. They had clearly said that they would be returning it to me... and yet, it was only to appear as if they were reasonable to readers of my previous review.
This is absolutely the worst management I have ever seen- and I have lived all over the world. I am a good tenant and never been treated like this before. I left that apartment in excellent condition, so there is no reason to withhold my deposit (even they have admitted this).
Like I said before: they are crooks.

Ms. Perry, now that the individual that you Sub-Let your apartment to has moved out, and we have completed the move out inspection as per policy, you will receive your pet deposit back. Please contact me with your forwarding address at your convenience. In addition, we did in fact forward all relevant paperwork to the better business burea, including a copy of the apartment deposit check that you received from the gentleman that you moved in to your apartment, whih you denied receiving. I cannot speak for previous managment, however I have not found any indication that they have ever filed an eviction on anyone before the dates as outlined in the lease contract.

I just finally read the response from Blankenbaker about returning my pet deposit... a year and a half after I moved out. I don't understand why they didn't contact me by email- after all, I sent many many emails to them that they refused to answer or even acknowledge. And this is under both managements. If they read this, please email me directly and return my money. It's been so long, that my poor pet cat has actually passed away.

I'm glad they have a mark on the BBB. This place is just awful about deposits - don't plan on EVER getting them back. I left my apartment in brand new shape and received less than 50% of my deposit back - this was just recently (under new management). I've been told by other landlords that some "shady" apartment complexes try to make money this way...apparently this is just another one of those companies. They will find ANY excuse to charge you, it's pathetic. Hope the time you spend there is worth the trouble you get when moving out!
