Please Read Before You Decide To Live Here...a Couple Things You Should Really Know.

I moved in here a couple months ago and even though these apartments look nice, I'm amazed at how cheaply built they are. I find more and more things all the time. One of my biggest complaints however, is that when it is even slightly windy out, it sound like we're in a tornado and that the apartment is going to blow away. No joke. The siding on the apartment(off of the balcony especially) comes loose and blows and rattles around SO much that it keeps me up at night. It is so loud. One of the biggest examples of how cheaply these were built is how poorly insulated the windows are. When my sliding glass door that goes out to the balcony is COMPLETELY SHUT, and the big heavy vertical blinds are shut, the wind BLOWS THRU THE WINDOW and blows the blinds around. That is ridiculous. So, having said that, you can probably imagine what the electric bill is like, if the windows are so cheap that wind blows thru them. Keep in mind, that these apartments are all electric, so you would think the bill would be reasonable. Wrong. I got my first bill this month for $190, and I NEVER turn my heat up past 65. Parking is awful here too. They didn't build big enough parking lots for to accomodate all the tenants, so a lot of the time, I have to park a ways away. I just thought you would like to know what you are getting into before you decide to move here. I know I would have liked to know this stuff before I chose to live here.

I moved from a home where I paid $340 each month for gas and electric. I'm not kidding. I keep my two bedroom apartment like a meat locker all summer and the bill has never been over $89. I turned the heat on three times last winter because the apartment stays very cozy. It's wonderfully insulated. The only wind I hear is when it's up over 50 mph. I've been here over a year now and never, ever had to park anywhere except smack in front of my stairwell. It's unfortunate that you had a bad experience, but I think yours was the exception, not the rule.
