I currently live at Boulder Creek of Vantage Pointe. All in all, I've been very pleased. They are clean, my maintenance issues have been addressed in very good time. I've not had any dealings per se with the office staff, but the little interaction I have had has been fine.
My biggest complaints would be with noise. I regulary hear the neighbor having sex, even though my bed is on far side of the room and away from that shared wall. I can also hear other neighbors in the bathroom, whether running the fan, children in the tub and conversations if they are taking place (muffled, but you can tell male voices from female, so it's clear enough). Also, Walmart is seated directly behind one half of the complex. I was told by management that it wouldn't be a concern to me because they deliver on the other side of the building. Nope, uh uh, wrong. They deliver on both sides and they deliver at all hours. They used to leave their trucks running but a talk with the Mayor of J-Town prompted a letter from City Hall and that has stopped.
Another concern has been that I had a car window busted out and items stolen. But, this unfortunately, is something that does happen when you live in a complex, no matter where it is, so I don't blame the complex for this. The local police department does patrol the grounds, because I have seen them...
Lastely, children running around without supervision would in my book be a problem. I have had children that I have had to remind about the no skateboarding rules on numerous occasions, and even had a parent bring their child back to play on their skateboard right behind my window, just because they're were peeved that I told them child it was not allowed. We've been told my management to call the police and not even say anything to the kids if we see them. I did have to tell this adult that that would be my option to make that call if they didn't cease, which he didn't, and the police did come and rectify the situation. The office staff stood behind me on this when the other tenant complained that I wouldn't not allow their child to play with their board. After all, rules are there for a reason...
Even with all this, I plan on staying here. Given the other choices in J-Town for apartments, I could do much worse! Also, affordability is a factor - you get quite a bit for what you pay for...
