Advertised service policy is a sham

They advertise that if they don?t address your request for service within 24 business hours, for each additional day you get a free day?s rent. On two occasions I waited more than 4 weeks for a service problem to be addressed and both times they used various means to weasle out of their obligation. The first time they only gave me $60 off my rent, the second time they refused to acknowledge the date that I first reported the problem and claimed to have tried unsuccessfully several times for follow up. The buildings are old, mid-70?s, and have severe design flaws, rotting cabinetry, peeling lead-based paint (they circulated official documents about that), dirty walkways, unkempt foliage, stripped down older appliances, carpeting that needs replacement, and noisy flooring.
Occasionally, their gardeners cut the cable TV lines, and when they snake out the plumbing you get a little brown water from your taps. Once I plugged in a vacuum cleaner and when I pulled the plug the entire outlet came out of the wall. There are still spots on my carpeting from when I moved in. Other than that, it?s a swell place to live.

Also I might mention you forgot to mention they also have aluminum wiring, that in itself makes it a firetrap. I really think they are old and have a lot of inherent safety issues, not a place I would sleep soundly in.
