Everything looks great on the surface: the grounds, the pretty model apartment they show you, etc. But be aware. The model apartment isn't what you will get. You will be disappointed when you actually see your apartment, but you'll think "well it's ok, I can live with that". At least I did. Then I noticed that there were 1" gaps under my windows and all the heat and air was escaping. We stuffed them full of towels and reported it to management. They did nothing. Next I noticed the plumbing was clogged in the bathtub, reported it, nothing done. They were also supposed to take care of pest control, but we were overrun with roaches and mice. Reported, nothing done. The lights outside didn't work half the time, leaving dark walkways and the possibility of crime -- which DID happen when I was there.
The dryers from other apartments are vented into your apartment, leaving it damp and hot. Good in the winter, but BAD in the summer. Heating and cooling bills can run over $220 easily, and usually do.
Breckinridge Square is nothing but an overpriced slum. BEWARE!
And if all that's not bad enough, try moving out. They'll throw all kinds of extra charges on you. And if you refuse then they put a collection agency on you that will drive you batty, calling you at work, at home, on your cell phone, etc. Management changes so much you don't know who to talk to. And when you DO talk to someone, they will probably be gone before anything can be done and then it will be left on someone else who knows absolutely nothing about your situation. Therefore, you're screwed.
My Advice: RUN AWAY from Breckinridge Apts.!

I agree with all of the comments above!!!I still live here and can't wait to move. It takes over a week to get anything repaired. Plumbing is absolutely horrible. The water sewage trash and gas bill is never what they say it will be. When I moved the manager at the time said that it would average $40 a month in a 1 bedrm. That's a lie!!It was 40 the first month, since then it has been averaging $70-85! Ventilation is terrible...My neighbor below me smokes so my apartment smells straight-up like smoke and I don' smoke! Staff is not friendly. The fitness room only has 1 machine that works and there is no air condition in there so it feels like a sauna. The pool is never open for various excuses. There are alot of kids who roam around the complex unsupervised by their parents during the summer and whenever the weather is nice. Whatever you do...STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX...NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!
