IT'S A TRAP!!! Consider somewhere else to leave.

We moved into our 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom apartment Mid-May of 2007. The day we signed the papers, we were informed that there had been a fire so the apartment that we looked at was given to a tenent who had been put out by the fire. We understood and agreed to another apartment as long as the apartments were the same. We were not allowed to see the apt because it was not "ready" yet. I picked up the keys that friday and did a walk through. It was nothing like the apt we saw. We were promised that they would make sure everything was repaired within a week of us moving in. WRONG! The standing shower in the 2nd bedroom had a severe leak which caused damage to the ceiling below. Maintanence came in and cut holes in our ceilings and walls, took 3 weeks to repair it, then left the holes open for another 2 months. It took 4 months to get screens on the sliding doors (although the sliding door downstairs was supposed to be repaired, it wasn't), the dishwasher never cleaned and took an 3 months to get a new one, there is another leak downstair which they refuse to look at (the drywall has split from the leak), we were promised ceiling fans and still have not received, and the a/c went out and for 2 weeks of 100 degrees heat, they kept saying they didn't have anyone to fix it. I'm still trying to get someone over to fix my leaking toliet that has been reported several times in the past month. There are other things that need to be repaired but talking to them is like talking to a wall. We reported them to the BBB and they finally did some work. Next I'm reporting them to the state housing board. We pay too much for rent for them to disregard what needs repair. We will be looking for a new place way before it's time to move out because they are awful. I don't recommend them for anything. Find someone else!!!!!!
