Churchill Park is where I grew up. It was a wonderful place at the time and I have many wonderful childhood memories from it. The office ladies became our friends. I remember great managers like Kim and Jackie. I remember good friends. I used to know some of the maintenence men and the cleaners and the residents. Now, there is no one there that I know. Recently the place has gone down. As a child, I remember a clean apartment with good grounds. Now, there are several problems. First, the concrete and roads need blacktopped, paved, and reorganized. Second, a good, trustworthy lifeguard needs to be hired. The pool needs regular hours that are followed, not just an "open when you feel like it" mentality. Paint the halls, recarpet the halls, and fix the doors and windows. So many apartments lack shutters. Spruce up the trees and greenery. Replant dead grass. Refresh the picnic areas and tables. Revamp the outside, the halls, and the interior of the apartments. Ne walls and kitchen appliances are needed, along with improvements in the bathroom. Raise the rent price to do this. The olympic sized pool is something to be proud of. Keep it clean. Have pool parties, haloween and christmas parties, and movie nights like the olden days when I was growing up there. Make Churchill Park a home for those who live their, and not just an apartment. Thank You.
