If you like privacy, this place is not for you

OK, on a scale from 1 to 10, I would give this place a 3.
There is maybe 20 feet between my 1st floor patio and our across the street neighbors. Not much privacy unless you keep the blinds closed ALL the time.
I could go on and on about how disappointed I have been with different things......When we moved in, it was obvious that they took the cheap way when fixing the place up for new rentors. The cabinents have at least 5 coats of paint on them....this makes them difficult to close. The same goes for the doors on the bed and bath rooms. It looks as if they NEVER scrape before they paint anything. The celing was chipping paint and instead of taking off the old they just painted over the chipped areas.
The gas bills are VERY high here because you don't have your own seperate bill that comes directly to you. You split it with your neighbors. That means that if your neighbor up stairs has the heat crancked all the time and you take the effort turn yours down, it makes no difference. In January of this year our portion was over $100!!!! This means your rent isn't the same from one month to another. They sent you a break down in the mail so you know how much to write your check for. The bad thing is the cards often don't come on time so you have to call to check and the office staff seems to have a habit of not quoting the correct number. Then you get in trouble because you didn't send the full amount in....big pain.
Not bad if you are just starting out.....I wouldn't want to live here any longer than a few years. My husband was in college for his graduate degree. I am SO ready to get out of here!!!!
