i have lived here at bent creek for well over a year now and to be honest i cant wait to move. when i first moved down here i thought this place was going to be great based on location and on the overall appeal of the apt. the location is still great. i have repeatedly said i would love to transplant the entire apt complex into a better part of town. once you get out the gate here is not a very good neighborhood. people staring at you like you are piece of meat when you drive by and the cops are always driving thru the area.

the apt is a great size for what you pay. i really dont think any other complex will offer the square footage for the price you pay. although it comes with its down sides. the front bathroom plumbing has been trouble practically since i moved in. the faucet constantly leaks and there is no water pressure. this is after repeated repair efforts by the maintainence. i think i reported it 3 times in a little over a month and it still doesnt work. the dishwasher leaked and blew a motor causing a terrible stain on the carpet that i bet they will try and make me pay for only a few weeks after i moved in. for some reason the power is constantly flashing around here. i have yet to figure that one out as well. the toilets need constant plumbing and the bathroom vents dont really work that well. the AC is pretty much hit or miss. some days it will work great and then others it will be just like a fan. if you run the dryer then you are screwed cus its gonna be hot in there all day. i have read some reviews that say the kids run crazy and they do and they do leave trash around here. the halls do smell from time to time. sometimes even like illegal things. the water i havent had trouble with like i read in another review. i am one to constantly run the washer, dishwasher and even shower at the same time and never have troubles with any of it.

the employees are decent. the secretary is very impersonal. if she got paid for being friendly then she would be out of a job probably to never work again. as far as the manager, she needs a lesson in how to deal with her tenants and how to run an office. i do have previous office manager experience and on several occassions me and my roommate have had to argue because of "other charges" that we were wrongfully charged for and we couldnt figure out where they came from. on these several occassions we have had to show her our copies of our payments and she has had to look it up in her books and figure it out that we were correct. they are very cordial if you are late one time with your rent either. i was on vacation and paid rent late for the first time in 8 months of living here and received an eviction notice if i didnt pay it in 10 days. the rent was late maybe 2 days....and they pride themselves on knowing their tenants on a friendly basis. yea right.

the biggest complaint i have about this apt community is the fact that my roommate and i believe to have experienced discrimination based on our age. we are young professionals with well paying jobs and we believe we were treated unfairly based on the assumption that we were partying college students living off our parents. we lived here for 6 months and didnt have any trouble from our neighbors. they were always friendly about everything and spoke in the halls and as passersby. we had no problem having people over or anything. then one days there was one other person in the apt along with my roommate and i and someone called the cops saying we were having a party and that the music was too loud. a party with 3 people and our music was too loud' to this day i will never understand that and the cop even laughed about it himself. ever since then someone has complained about almost everything. if there is trash on their balcony then we did it, if there is something missing then we stole it, if someone is loud then its those 2 young guys. the manager even told my roommate and i to stop throwing cigarette butts off the balcony and we dont even smoke!!! i told her that and she acted like she didnt believe me. some friendly atmosphere. i mean dont get me wrong, we do like to have a good time and listen to music a lot, but we dont do anything at home cus of our neighbors. we apparently have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time on several occassions so we get blamed for it.

this apt community is a nice place to live if you are middle aged or older. if you are young then you probly dont wanna live here cus you will get blamed for everything that happens in your area.
