Crossing at Bent Creek
AVERAGE RATING

The place is filthy garbage outside the dumpster, where people leave it to their children to put in and unable to due to height. The Apt in front so filthy all the mini blinds torn and I promise milk or something is splashed all over sliding door for two months now. I have a crack head that sits in her car smoking crack as her children beat the walls and floors. This is what I look at when I come to my resident. The children are unruly runnning and jumping in the hallways. I have been here almost a year ans the manager said they were going to paint(not yet) filthy.
The pool was to be open it was for three days this summer from 2p-5p. So noone was able to enjoy the supposed amenity. The manager was very nasty with me when I went and asked why the pool wasnt open, stating we dont have a lifeguard. The gated community Ha! not once have I seen the gate shut. There are men that stare at you as if to attack I even had one man say inappropiate things to me (sexually)when I had my children with me. The windows leak, when the plumbing is stopped up to where water comes from where i have no idea back in my sink in the bathroom. If I was taken to the right Apt. when I was considering to lease I would have never rented here. I was taken to a different part of complex then upon giving my deposit thrown in what I consider the worst part saying the other wasnt ready at that time. The size of the Apt.'s are great but I would rather be somewhere that was safe and clean.
I don't let my children play outside for the fear of the violence and drugs outdoors in the parking lots. Also the parking lots filthy and can never park close to my Apt. due to the fact there are multi-family dwelling in the same apts. which I do believe is against the law in one unit there is 5 adults and four children living in 3 bedroom.
I was subjected to manager walking in my Apt. unannounced. I was sleeping and heard knock at door, I work 3rd shift and was not expecting anyone so did not bother to get up. Then I heard my door jiggling so I jumped up undressed luckily without firearm in hand. There the manager stood, I asked what was going on,thinking something bad. This woman with lack of respect of my resident and my attire, states I come to give you your rent, bedaffled and getting angrier by the minute I asked why she was giving me my 700.00 dollars. Now this blows me away because I have not paid heat bill which is a 20.00 late bill vs. 120.00 late bill for rent I was not going to pay. She states no where in the lease that both must be paid. Furious now that she was trying to screw me and has violated my privacy, I cant wait to move. This has been a nightmare so be aware.

Bent Creek has become increasingly dangerous since I first moved here. There are a few renters who have been here for a long time who continue to hope it will get better; but, instead, most, if not all, of what was said above is absolutely true.
The front gate occasionally works. There is a creek running through the property which has at least twice flooded nearly every downstairs apartment here with a few inches to a foot or more of sewage, though it happens rarely and happens to all of the apartments in this general area.
The apartments are large;(1078 square feet for a 1-bedroom den) and generally they are repainted before you move in with replacement of blinds and good cleaning---often even the replacement of OK carpet with new carpet.
I MIGHT move back in here now if given the choice; but not without some improvements in security and safety.
(There are areas of the complex where I believe children are very safe during the daylight hours.)
