Before signing my lease I was told i would be paying one amount. I signed my lease late on a friday. The manager was rushing me through because she wanted to go home. Or so i thought. She gave me a brief summary of every piece of paper and told me to sign. The amount originally agreed upon was reiterated. When i paid the first months rent for verbally agreed upon amount, i asked for confirmation to make sure it was the right amount. She looked at my paper work and said it was right. The second month the same thing happened. After the 4th month i received a note on my door saying i have been paying the wrong amount. I tried calling every day for a week straight requesting to speak to the manager, and stopped in the office twice. She was never available and never returned my phone calls. After the 5th month i was told they are not allowed to accept partial payment for rent and they wouldnt take my check. Why have the rules changed all the sudden' How did they not notice these errors after 4 months' These ladies will take advantage of you every chance they get. They also never put salt down on the stairs or walk ways, even after i called several times requesting it, and they told me it would be done.

I have been a resident at Fenwick for 1.5 years now, lived in several different complexes, and this place beats them all 10 to 1. I love all the staff---especially those new ladies, Emily and Selena. They are very sweet, and do all they can to satisfy us. In saying that, I'll say this: 1. If you cared about your finances at all, or your well-being for that matter, you would have said "hey manager lady, I am signing my name to numerous pieces of paper...could I please read over this thing before I sign MY NAME to it??" It doesn't matter if there are "fine print". Read something you sign--did no one ever teach you about LEGAL BINDING CONTRACTS?? 2. My lease clearly states what I am paying. THE EXACT AMOUNT--BROKEN DOWN. I am assuming that ALL leases are standard and have the same thing written in them. Did yours not say this?? Or did that legal piece of paper magically add some extra numbers to itself after you went and signed it?? I doubt it. 3. Oh....and when Friday rolls around, I know I'm itching to get out of my workplace and go enjoy the weekend. My 8 hours are in...I'm going home. Are you not like that?? Maybe you should be more respectful to ALL the working class, and come in a little bit earlier to sign your lease when you should have known when their office closes. 4. It clearly states in MY lease...the same standard one you have...that partial payments aren't allowed. Did you miss that paragraph too?? If the rules were broken for you, they would have to be broken for everyone. 5. I called the office to ask them about the icy steps after the snow/ice storm. Because I was respectful about it, Emily(I think) told me that the maintenance staff was doing everything they can. They are BY LAW not allowed to clear walkways and steps because if you fall down them, they could get sued....make sense??? You are supposed to treat your stairs and walkways...and parking space for that matter like it is your own! Those guys were out busting their butts shoveling and scraping every time I stepped out the door...whether they were supposed to or not. Think about them the next time you're sitting INSIDE your warm apartment or warm office... In conclusion, I love Fenwick--it's a GREAT place to live, and the majority of the residents here agree with me. Next time, why don't YOU be a little more responsible and READ things before you SIGN them. The girls in the office are doing their job...and a good one at that...in my opinion! So own up to your own responsibilities!!

First of all, the fact that i let her coerce me into signing that contract while listening to and believing her false statements does give her a right to try and con anyone who walks through that door. When i signed my lease i had just finished my 8 hour day, and got there as soon as i possibly could. There wasnt a chance for me to get there earlier. Did i make a mistake by not reading through everything, and trusting these women that you say are so nice? The same ones that have lied to my face several times already. I have tried calling to talk to Stacey nonstop since they first notified me that i wasnt paying the right amount, and have still not received a call back about this matter. It has been 1 month now, and still no call. If it is a rule that partial payments are not to be accepted, why did they accept partial payments for the first 4 months i lived here, and never said anything about. They cashed every one of the "Impartial payments" that they are not allowed to accept. Dont let a pretty face fool you. The fact that i let her coerce me into signing that contract while listening to and believing her false statements does give her a right to try and con anyone who walks through that door. You have no idea what i do for a living, so before you talk about me sitting in my warm apartment or office you should make sure about who i am. I have lived in several apartments in several states, and they always took care of the stairs and walkways as much as possible. And by the way my lease was filled with several typos, misspelled words and grammatical errors. Ones spell check would have easily caught.
