The middle opinion

This board shows both extremes. The rave reviews for Jamestown are obviously written by employees. And not all people have had terrible experiences (though I'm sure several have). In my opinion, Jamestown has been a tolerably nice place to live. The townhomes are nice and large, especially with the rehabs. Heating and air work very well, and our home is well insulated. The major complaint (and it is a huge one) is with the front desk. They have been dragging their feet on all our requests. For instance, it took them 4 weeks from our move-in to actually get the washer/dryer we were entitled to. Also, one night our back door wouldn't lock. We called maintenance twice, they said they would come, and never did. Our back door was left unlocked! We had to wedge it shut! We made requests for maintenance repairs two weeks ago and still have heard nothing.

All told, if the front desk were much improved, this could be an alright place. Unfortunately, people considering living here must really think about the consequences of the absolutely rock-bottom quality of management. I have heard this sentiment echoed by several former residents I happen to know.

I find this review to be the most accurate. I know one person who moved into the complex and her bathroom door was not painted and the knob was not put on, the door knobs broke, the stove and refrigator were not clean, the washer drain was clogged and they were rude when it had been reported that the bathroom sink was clogged up and the spicket was leaking and thus causing the sink to fill up with water. Jamestown over rates it self, it is not worth the 1009.00 market rent or the 800.00 at 20% off if you are an employee and has poor management. The managers are rude.
