This apartment I just moved into last Saturday is down right disgusting!! The carpet smells of dog feces and the head of the leasing office will do nothing about it. He is down right rude, sarcastic, and extremely disrespectful. Not he or the leasing office will help or even consider in any way replacing the carpet and they should because it is completely unhealthy and unsanitary for people to live in an apartment full of carpet reeking of urine and dog feces from a previous owner .. Not only does the carpet reek of urine/feces, but the carpet is so filthy that when I walk around with my bare feet the bottoms become black within a couple of minutes. In addition to the unsanitary carpet, the appliances, counter tops, walls, and window sills had not even been touched or cleaned upon my initial moving in. I had to hire a separate cleaning company to clean my place and they charged me $75 that the apartment complex also would not pay for that I had to pay out of my own pocket. I feel that this complex "baits and switches" their promises listed on the website and what was spoken upon initial purchase then once the ink dries on the lease they have zero follow through. I believe they are bad slum-lords!

I totally feel for you. When we moved in, I basically had to clean our whole apartment, but I noted it on the lease each thing I had to do, so they had better not make me pay to have it cleaned when we move out of this dump in a few months. It wasn't cleaned for us and when you give them the money, they probably won't even use it to clean the place...it doesn't sound like they cleaned yours...and I think carpets are supposed to be cleaned by law..I would go to the better business bureau is I were you...You were treated wrong....
