Where do I start . . .

I have lived in four different apartments in four different cities and I have never had this kind of problem. My problems started on day 1 (signing the lease). They gave me the lease and told me to look it over and sign it and bring it back to them when I was finished. Then come to find out that my apartment wasn't even finished . . . oops, they hadn't even started on it until today. My accent wall wasn't painted, the carpet had a huge stain, the W/D closet door was broken, the garbage disposal didnt work, no light in the refrigerator, my kitchen tile was dirty with spots, my bathtub knob didn't work . . . need I say more. I couldn't refuse to move in because my mover's were there on the clock and they didnt offer to pay any of my expenses. Plus they had to make an appointment with the carpet installers and the painter to set up appointments which took one to two weeks! They didnt even do a walk through with me and on top of that I had to go get a move in sheet where you mark all of the problems with the apartment. They finally came over after I demanded that the manager see the condition of the apartment that I was moving into. Even then it took up to 5 weeks for all of that to be remedied a that was after I called and called and called. I don't know what the first management was like but this management is the worst I have ever seen in my whole rental history! On top of all of that they didnt even offer me money off of my rent instead they gave me a $20 gift certificate to Target . . . WHAT?! After all of that! Now its snowing (10 inches) and no one has even come to take the snow off of the sidewalks. They claim that a truck has been through the complex twice and there is nothing they can do about the parking lot condition, but I'm not an idiot and any one who is in their right mind can look at the parking lot and tell that no one has been in with any type of shovel or snow truck to remove the snow! I am telling you this as a friend although I don't know you from Adam, do do it! And if you do, enter into a lease at your own risk!
