I lived in Park Laureate both in fall '06 and summer '07 while working on internship in Louisville. The apartment in the fall was not bad, not the best I've seen but nothing major to complain about besides the dryer being broken for the last 3 weeks I lived there (they came to fix it but it broke again after a single load). Since the fall, the apartment complex has changed management and the new management is terrible. The old office staff didn't always remember my name, but they were at least friendly and always tried to help. The new staff doesn't want to have to lift a finger to do anything. They will act fake friendly but it is evident that they think they're above everyone living there. Don't even think of entering the office after 5:45, they will have a real attitude if they have to stay a minute past 6:00. I moved out last week and after cleaning the apartment top to bottom and making it look better than when I moved in, they are now trying to charge me for carpet cleaning and damages that I didn't do in the only 3 months I lived there. Watch out. I do not recommend this place to anybody. The dynamics of the neighborhood have also changed since last fall and I only see it going further downhill. The apartments may look nice on the outside, but they are all in need of major maintenance and updating. There is really nothing good about this place (besides maybe the indoor pool, which happened to be closed for repair for half the summer). Renter beware!!
