I lived here for 2 years and can definately tell you that these apartments are not worth the price. It is fairly nice in appearance but the office staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, and maintenece leaves something to be desired. There is an up side to it all...they replace the carpet everytime someone moves out...which is great unless you live next door to the one they are renovating...constant banging for about a week and virtually all day. There are parties in the parking lot sometimes and 4 out of 5 of my neighbors were very loud and management does nothing about it. However, I have always felt safe here and the minor annoyances were bearable.

Slumhurst does not replace the carpet every time someone moves out. I moved and they attempted to clean the carpet before I moved in, but black matted worn stains kept coming up in the small living room and the carpet had a horrible stench to it that filled the apartment with a nasty odor. The buildings are terrible looking and should be condemned. I moved out before my lease was up. I couldn't stand it there anymore. I had moved in to try and save some money, but these standards are too low for a price that was way too high. I have a much better apartment now in a safe community. I feared for my life at Slumhurst. Don't move here unless you don't mind crime and low standards with a high price.
