I lived at Pinehurst for almost 9 years. While there were some negatives, there were many positives as well. My apartment home was maintained very well and management fixed problems in a timely fashion. Management was always positive and gave me the impression that they cared about making my experience at Pinehurst a good one. Management would often sponsor events in the community so that neighbors could get to know one another.

I received numerous updates to my apartment home over the last year in my bathroom and dining area. There were other things offered as well...gym memberships, carpet cleaning, painting, and other updates to the apartment.

I did experience problems with there not being adequate parking in the area of my apartment home, as well as, lots of youth hanging out in the evening and into the night in the summer. Despite this, I always felt safe at Pinehurst. I would often see a police officer patrol the complex in the evening and night hours.

While I no longer reside there, it has nothing to do with the complex. For anyone who may be interested in becoming a Pinehurst resident, I say check it out for yourself. Don't allow the negatives you're hearing from others to determine your decision.

Why do you think a police officer patrols the area at night? Perhaps because they know that criminal activities occur there a lot. This is not a good place to live. I lived there and never had the problems in my town home fixed ( had no air conditioning upstairs, heat did not work, windows would not open). I was told that there was no money to fix my windows that would not open, that there is no way to get cool air upstairs and just use a fan to blow that cool air from the first floor to the second floor, and we froze in the winter because the heat did not warm up the townhouse at all. Do not move here!

I say go ahead and check it out. But, make sure you go there at night!! Of course, it is about the ugliest, scummiest apartment complex in the daytime, but check it out at night. Bring your video camera. You may be able to sell the footage you get to the TV show "Cops." If you move in, then just get used to the sound of breaking glass, the smell of foul odors, and the run-down state of the buildings and apartments.
