I lived at Plainview for a year, moved out a couple of months ago. They were very nice and pleasant when I was still looking for an apartment. Don't be fooled. When I moved in, there were problems with the apartment being dirty. they eventually brought some cleaners in but it was already midnight before they finished cleaning the apartment. And I still had ants in the living room, and the previous tenant's dog-hair everywhere.
When I moved I had to pay an additional month's rent even though they were notified on time I was not renewing my lease. So heed the warnings of the other posters, they will find something extra to charge you for.
The apartment was overpriced for what you got. The maintenance was not so-so, after a while if I could live with problem I didn't bother reporting it.
The main reason I decided to move out was the utilities. I couldn't control my utilities bill. The bill was astronomical even if I'd taken steps to conserve, it made no difference to the bill because, you are not billed on your own consumption. And then of course they screw you when you move out.
Noise levels varied, it just depends on the neighbors, in my first month or so it was loud, and during my final month a real rowdy set of neighbors moved.
As long you don't mind parking some way from your own apartment, parking is available. But, I still would never ever live there or recommend it, I think the management is unscrupulous. They smile and talk a good game, but watch your back.

I use to be the manager here years ago. The manager's hands are tied, they are so controlled from the management company, AIMCO that they can't go to the rest room without taking their cell phone. I feel for the managing team that is there. As much as they want to be able to give nice clean, safe apartments, they can only do what AIMCO will allow them to do.
However, the assistant manager, Karen is very discrimitive. She will give her race better accomendations before she gives to any others. They really need to replace her but she's like a fixture, they will keep her until they can't fix her anymore.
Good luck if your looking to move here. It's a mess!

It is amazing, each one of these reviews is totally and horrifically true. Why aren't we all calling the Better Business Bureau, the Health Dept, and the Attorney Generals office about this despicable place. Believe me you cannot get anywhere with the new management either. They brush you off by saying that what happened to you was the fault of the previous management before AIMCO took over. HELLO, Plainview was already AIMCO when we lived there. These horror stories continue to be told and yet they still get away with it. My wife and I are Health Care professionals: BE ADVISED....STAY FAR AWAY from this place and the phoney unethical people who work there.
