My roommate and I moved to Shadow Ridge in the summer of 2007 and have never been short of pleasantly surprised with our living situation. When we met with ---- in the office, she was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, and we have enjoyed that same experience with each trip to the office. For anyone who is sick of their management company forgetting their name after move-in, not knowing the answers to questions, being rude (as was our experience at our former apt, River Oak), or not taking care of your problems: The answer is Shadow Ridge.

As for the apartment itself, our home is beautiful and has had no problems. We were fortunate to get a unit at the back of the complex, so our view is of the creek and woods that separate the complex from the homes across the way. The layout of the apt is spacious and logistically nice (my roommate's room is on the other side of the apt so we never hear each other).

Aesthetically speaking, the complex is lovely. The grounds are kept regularly, with fresh mulch, season-appropriate flowers, and beautiful foliage (which is brightly colored in the autumn). There is no trash on the grounds, and the pool and workout room are consistently maintained. The ONLY complaint that I have about Shadow Ridge is that there is a pet waste problem in some areas of the complex, and as a dog owner who constantly picks up after her pet, that bothers me. That, though, is consistent with what I have found at other complexes here in Louisville.

All that said, I truly love my home. Between the friendly staff, my gorgeous unit, and the beautiful grounds, I am absolutely thrilled that I was not swayed by gimmicks and freebies offered by other apts, and that I ended up here. I am moving in the fall, but because my studies are taking me there, and certainly not because I want to move out of my apt.
