Decent place to live

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
We lived here from 2006 - 2007 and I am just now getting around to writing a review because we recently had to relocate to the west coast and were unable to sell our home in Louisville so we're stuck having to rent again. The place we are renting at now is AWFUL and makes me appreciate Shadow Ridge so much more than I had when I actually lived there.
The staff and maintenance is friendly and always accommodated us promptly when a problem came up. Our two bedroom (with den) and two bathroom apartment was spacious, clean and well laid out. The rent was also quite reasonable and we got in with a good rate since we moved in there in March. Parking was fine. Although there were no assigned spots, my husband I were both always able to find a spot right by our unit. They also have garages available for an extra fee but we opted out of that. At the time we had one dog (now we have two) and their pet policies were reasonable and they were a pet friendly complex. Lots and lots of spots for the dogs to do their business and they supply the bags to clean it up. These areas were generally kept clean as well. The garbage was emptied regularly and there were usually bags available at the stations.
We did have some trouble when someone slashed my husband's tire but that was the only real negative thing that happened there. We reported it to the management but I don't think it was something that was happening regularly so they didn't really do much about it. Also, after about 9 months the people that moved in next door to us were loud. We could hear their music a lot. They did play loud, thumping music though so I think that had something to do with it. Before they moved in there were no noise problems in general.
I wish that we had stayed another year in that apartment instead of buying a home because now we can't sell ours and are facing foreclosure so we're stuck in a really crappy, overpriced apartment in the Pacific Northwest. Shadow Ridge makes our current apartment look like a dump!
I'm not sure if things are the same there as when we lived there but I would bet that they are still pretty good. It's a nice place to rent.
