I have lived at southgate for 3 years. This is my second apartment here if I didn't feel this was a great place to live I would have moved on. I am very happy here the office staff has been wonderful and maintenance has has been great. I am disabled and maintenance has went above and beyond for me weather it was changeing a light bulb or taking out my trash. There have been many changes since the new management company has taken over, before there was no on site maintenance it took days to have a problem corrected and the former office staff was extremely rude. The new management has been great. It really bothers me to see former residents come to a forum such as this to bad mouth such a great property and staff my only thoughts could be these people have been evicted or the management refused to renew there lease or possibly have had some sort of run in with the staff, and by bad mouthing them it somehow makes themselves feel better. I can honestly say I find no major problems with southgate there was a lighting issue before the new management took over but since I have seen maintenance working hard to correct the problem, the grounds always look great the landscape grew does a wonderful job. My whole purpose for posting this review is to ask potential residents to use common since when reading negative reviews on any property visit the property and gather your own opinions.

Russel was a very nice guy but a little slow and i think half his problem was holly she was terrible. i agree with bgolfer Southgate is a nice place i just moved out due to work transfer seems like its taking a little long to get my deposit back but other than that things were great.

I wished that I could have hadthe same experience with the staff. The previous staff was more than helpful to me, I saw a major change when the new staff came in. It was more the atmosphere I had a problem with and not the staff. It got louder, the grounds were trashier, and the overall environment changed. We signed a lease because it was quiet, felt like home, and was clean; it all changed, and that is why we did not renew our lease.
