I lived at Southgate when it was ran by ICON Properties, and the complex was prestine. Once management changes, so did the experience. The front office people did nothing to curb the trash that was everywhere. The basketball court is always filled with hood'lums that were not paying rent. Parking was a mess! Having to walk down 3 Fleights of stairs and a quarter of a mile to deposit garbage is unnecessary. The Equipment in the gym needed a lot of maintenance. A cable actually broke one night while I was doing a leg press. It is continuously noisy. I waited over six months for maintenance to fix my sink. Kitchen Grease splats on the wall, and you can not wipe it off without making the marks worse.

Plus, the bird crap everywhere all the time is annoying. I did not pay to live in a luxuary apartment to get my $600.00 suit crapped on walking down the stairs, it was embarassing!

The space is nice, but not what one would expect from a high scale apartment complex. Add $25.00 to rent and buy a house!

your telling me that you can buy a $600.00 suit, but then you want to ----- about these apartments? HA GET A HOUSE YOU DUMB ASS!! OH and how is the staff suppose to "police" a bird shitting on you? GET A LIFE!

We lived there from 5/1/07-11/1/08 and the management was wonderful to us from the min. we moved in! We had no problems with birds crapping on us..if the stairs r a problem for u, then don't choose to be on the 3d floor! They did still need to fix that one cable though on the weight mach. Everything else was in great condition though! We had a problem with our disposal when we first moved in. From the time we called, we didn't even have time to get dressed they were knocking on our door to come and fix it. Not sure why u would wait for someone to come and fix something for 6 mo though! Obviously there was a communication error! U will have small problems with any place be it a home or an apt complex. Good luck finding one that is perfect! J. Sullivan
