I lived at Southgate for 3 years i had no problems at all never had a problem with staff or work being completed in my apartment. after reading some of the reply's left after positive reviews i am expected to be accused of being paid off or being an employee. i was asked to check this site out by a friend that has posted on here that i met while living at Southgate. if it wasn't for him asking me to leave a review i wouldn't give this site a second thought. If you base your opinion of where to live off of a ratings site that clearly appeals to former or upset tenants that's not to smart now is it' visit the property and use common sense and ask questions. i saw a post on here where a person gave a good review then came back later and posted a negative because they were charged after they moved out. when you leave your apartment request a walk through then you and the manager sign the move out inspection that shows what you will be charged for. if you are charged more after that then you can do something about it.
This site really is a joke i live at a 6 month old property here in Dayton Ohio now and it already has 3 negative reviews, Southgate is maby 6 years old' Southgate is the nicest place in the area and has a great staff see for yourself and don't listen to angry past residents that were probably evicted anyways or current residents that have personal problems with the staff or are under eviction themselves.
ok so lets hear how i was paid off or that i am a employee.

What is the need to respond to my negative review?? Apparently I hit a soft spot with you and your friend who ask you to respond to my review?? Am I not allowed to have my own opinion? I can't believe that my experience with Southgate would make you take time out of your new life in Dayton to respond to my review. Understand that everyone has different experiences with Southgate and the staff and mine were obviously worse than yours. I'm not writing anything that is untrue. I feel that people should, in fact, go and take a look at the grounds and judge for themselves. If Southgate is as wonderful as you make it to be, maybe they will think the same. Hopefully, they'll go on a day when the dumpster is not overflowing and the office is closed (as usual!)
