I wrote the first review of Stonemill Village when we lived there. We would still be living there, but my husband got a new job in Indianapolis in October, 2002 so we had to move.



I saw the two reviews regarding the recent flooding when I was writing a review of our current complex in Indianapolis(Latitudes), and I couldn?t believe what I read. I think it?s really unfair to blame the staff for the flooding. This spring has been cold and it has rained almost constantly. It?s been like this in Indianapolis which is only 108 miles north of Louisville. I also have family in Louisville who have told me that it?s done nothing but rain for a couple of months. How can you blame Stonemill for an act of God'



None of the apartments ever flooded during the three years we lived there. I know the road by the tracks sometimes floods when there has been a lot of rain, but this spring is different.





At Latitudes, we pay 919.00 per month for an apartment that is similar in size to the one we had at Stonemill. Futhermore, it sits on flat, treeless ladn surrounded by cornfields. We have no free outside storage or covered parking. If we want covered parking, we have to pay an extra $40/month. If we want a storage shed, it?s an extra #20 a month. There is no indoor pool either.



The management here is downright nasty. Once you sign the lease, they could care less about you. You don?t know just how lucky you are to live at Stonemill.
