Move to Stonemill Village and lose your car and furniture

The previous comment about Stonemill not being responsible is completely unfounded. They were very much aware of the potential for flood damage (which is why they have insured the buildings for flooding). And over 25 apartments were severely affected.
However, the residents were not made aware of that. Had they known that they could potentially have 5 inches to over a foot of water in their apartment, they could have purchased flood insurance also. Instead, many lost cars and much of the furniture in their apartments (which is NOT covered by renter?s insurance). They are not replacing the dry wall or appliances in some of the buildings that had "only" 5 inches of water.
I can?t imagine why anyone (who isn?t on their staff) would encourage someone to get in that situation. Dumbass.
