My fiance and i lived at stonemill village a year ago and never got our security depsoit back from them. We moved out of state and I called for about six months afterwards about my deposit and the office just kept blowing me off. well, six months ago we moved back and we decided we really liked stonemill and wanted to move in again...as long as we asked about our deposit. My first attempt was talking with joyce,(anyone who's lived there knows who joyce is and knows probably how well that went.)She gave us mid americas phone number. When i called that, the lady yelled at me and said it was the office's job to ask about my deposit. she contacted the office and they started looking in to my dillema. (Joyce was fired shortly afterwards,coincidence')my second time around the office informed me that somehow, i had moved out a month early with no one informing me of that problem and that i was charged an early termination fee of $1000 (which i also wasn't notififed about) and then someone went back and zeroed out my debt and then claimed that i never paid my last month's rent and they used my security deposit for that debt. In total i owed about $200 i never knew about and somehow no one sent my debt to collections...strange, huh' I was mad at this point so i asked jessica (office employee) to fax me a copy of my lease, i wanted proof. She called me back not 5 min later and said they didnt have my lease!!! I was fuming at this point. So i told her if i could come up with the check that said i paid my last months rent, if that would be proof enough for them to give me my money back. It sounded to me like someone pocketed my rent and my security deposit! So i got my bank to find my cancelled check and faxed it to the dumbells at stonemill village. It has been 3 weeks since i've done that and sbout 2 weeks since i called the regional manager about my problem. I have not heard one word from anybody! I am thouroughly disgusted with stonemill village and mid america apt communities. I would NEVER wish my worst enemy to live at stonemill village!

As a current resident I have to agree. Poor management and lack of informed individuals in the office. Very poor service.

This place sucks!!! The management staff never knows what to tell people. They never call you back when they are supposed to. You ask for a particular apt and you get something totally different. the day I was going to move in my apartment was still trashed. Never got fixed. Thanks God I didn't move in. It took them almost about 2 months to get my money back but that's because I called many and many times.. Stonemill SUCKS!!! DO NOT MOVE IN THERE!!!
