When we first moved in to Stonemill it WAS great: Mary was the Property Manager and the maintenace staff was "johnny on the spot" - they were a really great team. Then about a year or so later, Mary had left for another job, the head maintenance guy was fired, and the office staff is replaced with people from their corporate office. After that, trying to get anything fixed or have anybody listen to you was a total nightmare. Our Master bathroom had tile falling off in the shower and mold growing on the wall, and we made nine - NINE - requests to have it fixed!!! No one ever came to change the filters or clean the vents, but oh sweet lord, don't leave your trash bag on your door step for two seconds while you run to the bathroom or go back in to grab your keys - a $25/bag fee for that' give me a freakin break! AND, right after we gave our sixty day notice, they towed our second car even though we had it registered with their front office as per their move-in requirements. We totally made them pay for that. And when they tried to say that we caused the damage to the bathroom with the tiles (this was on the walk-through on the last day) I told them yeah right, i have all the dates that i called you to come and fix this - they even started to fix it and left the tools and the maintenance report that said they "needed to order tile" and left the mess on the floor. My kids could have seriously been hurt with all the broken crap they left lying around.

we also had a friend who was electrocuted by downed lines on the property while walking her dog. Her dog stepped on the lines (which no one could see) the voltage shot throught the dog and then through her. They didn't even offer to pay for the vet bill or her doctor bill either!!

They are simply awful. The only reason I could every think that anybody thinks it's "a great place to live" is that they are living above or away from the flood line (don't get me started about having to live at the AMerisuites for three weeks after the flooding), they have an extremely high tolerance for crap, or they simply like getting the stink end of the stick and are too wimpy to say anything about it. Read your landlord tenant laws people - you have rights, you know.
