We had to find an apartment quick because of job transfer. I picked these apartments because they were advertising newly remodeled with new apliances, counter tops,cabinets and carpet. I didn't get to view the apartment before move in but asked if the apartment we would move in would be one of the remodeled ones and was asured it would be. After completing all the paper work and signing the lease the management said we have the perfect apartment for you. When we arrived in Louisville we went to the office and got our apartment key. Upon entering our apartment I started crying here we were no other place to live and our apartment was a piece of crap! everything was old, old, old! The refrigerator and stove were from the 70's that ugly green and yellow color. The seal around the door of the refrigerator was hanging of there was big cracks in the inside on the plastic. The handle to the oven was falling of the stove. there was a small pantry on the wall and all the shelves were warped and sinking in the middle. the tile was old and discolored. The patio was filthy and overrun by spiders and webs. The apartment was tiny tiny tiny. The counter tops were old and had cuts and cracks all over. I was lied to. And oh I am not racists but these people must be because this lady who said we have the perfect apartment for you I soon realized what she ment by this. All our neighbors were -------. It was like they had a certain area for -------- and a certain part for whites. I am not ------- and neither is my husband but our last name sounds spanish so people always asume we are. Oh and by the way the spiders I mentioned earlier you may think oh I am not scared of spiders but these are not ordinary spiders. They are brown recluse spiders. Google them. If you get bit your skin will start rotting away. It is disgusting! So please think especially if you have children before moving here. One more thing maintenence is crap. My garbage disposal was stopped up first day of move in and the fixed by craming a broom handle in it. We asked for new refrigerater they never even came and looked. High electric for such a small apartment. Said they would came and fix all the cabinets never showed. We had a large couch and couldn't fit it through the front door because there is a wall right in front of you when you walk in. We asked them to come and take off our sliding door so we could bring it in that way they never showed it rained during the night and so our couch had to be trashed. It was a very nice expensive couch.
