Surprise!!!
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 10/30/2006

That is what you will feel like after you move in. You may think you are moving into something luxurious and fantastic, but a few weeks into it, the surprise hits you. The office staff is rude, and inconsiderate. This falls fully on the office manager (Sharon). She is the only person that has stayed put for the past two years.
Let??s say you make a complaint, chances are she will blame ??past employees.?? Since I have moved in, I have not seen a staff member stay more than 4-6 months. Either they are fired, or quit (which you can not blame them). You can never get a straight or even honest answer from the staff. You may call in asking a question, and the response you receive is rude and in haste, almost as though you are bothering them. For the amount of money that people here pay to live, one would think that the service would be at LEAST decent quality. But alas, the majority of the time, the quality of service from the employees and manager are sub par, and inferior to nearly every other place out there (luxury and non luxury). The problems only seem to get worse as time goes on. Since there is only one original person there (the office manager) one can only hope that ICON Properties (the owners of the property) will get the hint and replace her ASAP!
Overall:
- The quality of service is low.
- The term luxury is something that should NOT be associated with these apartments.
- The Office Staff is Rude and Inconsiderate
- The Price is way too expensive for what you get.
- The noise is very high, being located right next to a busy Interstate (no sound barriers)
- The grounds / gardening look better on the streets than what the apartment complex has.
- There have been a few ??high crimes?? including discharges of weapons.
- The only exterior security feature that they offer is a front gate that works a third of the time. They classify this as a gated community. As you enter you notice that the only gate is on the road. If someone wanted to gain access into the community, they could either drive over the curb, walk around the ??entrance gate??, etc.
- They claim to have ??high speed?? internet access that you can get from them. Their high speed is a t1 line split for 200 people which equals slower than dial-up connection
- You ARE NOT able to get insight??s Cable, Internet or phone service. They do not allow insight on the premises. You are allowed to get your own satellite connection for satellite tv (for an extra price).
- Their satellite cable that they provide is way below par. Whenever it sprinkles, you can bet your channels will go out. You get only a few decent channels, the majority of channels are News or Sports related.
Do not be encouraged by the few positive things you read on other reviews. I would also want people to know reading this review that it is a non bias observation and opinion. I have not had any issues with maintenance and I try to avoid the office, office staff and office manager as much as possible. The only issues I have had are with the internet.
I hope everyone will heed this warning and stay away from the lacking luxurious ??Summit Place Apartments?? or be warned of the surprise of poor service!
