The good:
The property is always kept nice and clean. Visitors were always impressed by how spacious and new the apartments looked.

The bad:
It seems that the management staff is all about squeezing every little dime out of you. There are fines for EVERYTHING. And, after paying atleast $16,000 in rent in a span of 2 years, my last rent payment was 3 days late. In the midst of traveling, moving, etc, I forgot to send in my check. Do you think they were willing to work with me? NO!!! The management staff tried to charge me about $150 in fees for being 3 days late.

Also, they seem very hesitant to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. When I found out that I was going to be moving, there was about 2 months left on my rent. In order to break my lease, they were going to charge me about $2100 dollars. So, needless to say, I payed the extra two months rent, even though I had moved out and wasn't occupying the space.

In short, if you decide to move here: NEVER be late on your rent, and definitely don't expect the staff to help you out in a jam.

Um, you can't be late on rent anywhere, duh! And if you move out early, you know there are fines for braking a LEGAL contract... duh! This is a stupid review considering it is all about how you were neglegent in turning in your rent and then you wanted to brake a contract YOU signed... how is that the management's fault. We love it here at Summit Place... :)

Yikes! People are so hostile towards the reviews on this website. Why do you even care? Write your own review, if you actually have something to say, but quit attacking other people who are just trying to use this website for its purpose: to discuss their experiences with apartment complexes so that potential renters can benefit from their knowledge. You're not adding any useful information.

Regardless of whether you paid on time or not, it goes to a much larger issue: the management staff is not helpful at all. It doesn't matter if it is big or small. They won't go out of their way, or GET OUT OF THEIR DAMN CHAIRS, to help a resident. I would love to see the Manager inspect the property on a daily basis and get to know the residents. They make no effort at all. Horrible customer service, and yes, they try to squeeze every dime out of you.

Having late rent here is topic to discuss. My experiences for having late rent was I was not informed that their office was going to be closed that day on the 5th. Each month they change their hours, but they don't let you know until after you are stopped by to pay rent on time. When you call the VM repsonse is stating that they are open, but when you stop by the office they are closed. Now you stuck with late rent in which they say it is not their fault that the decided to be closed. It becomes difficult if you travel during the week.
