I used to Work for River City Properties they are the worst company to work for. And you damn sure don't want to live there. They owners don't want to listen to your problems because they don't care about you. They are RICH, they drive there beamer and jaguar. They take months if not years to fix the problems with the apartments while trying to charge the tenants $ 430 for a one bedroom to $ 530 for a ------ two bedroom. I guess thats why you call them SLUM LORDS. If you need to contact these horrible people. I will give you the Numbers right here, if not you will not find them anywhere. The owner is taking all your money by charging you for Rubs. Man shot to death inside apartment in May 2007. Crime is horrible, gangs, DRUGS Galore (You'll love it if your a crackhead).

I completely agree. I too used to work for River City Apartments. And, if you want the whole truth, Turtle Creek Apartments are not even their worst. Connie Fowler micro-manages everyone without knowing the full picture. She treats anyone she is not sleeping with disrespectfully. She would rather employ a housekeeper, again, who stopped coming in for his shifts than someone who showed up everday and worked her ass off for a lousy $9.00 an hour. Did I mention that the rehired housekeeper made more than a dollar more than I did for the same job and experience level? In addition, if you work for them please understand that you do so at your own risk. In December, the manager at Westbury Harbour apartments was attacked while showing an apartment. Fortunately, she was not hurt or raped. However, Garey and Connied did NOTHING to improve the safety at any of the properties. Evidently, it does not matter to them that drug dealers, rapists and murderers live there. Yet, they stress to their employees the importance of cleanliness and service. What?? I have over eleven years of management experience and have never seen anything run as poorly as this company. Maintenance technicians cannot make repairs in a timely manner because Garey and Connie refuse to order supplies. Garey is guilty of insurance fraud. He had several properties that were damaged during the Hurricane Ike winds over the summer. He took the payout and, instead of repairing the damage, pocketed the money. If you want a lot of hassle and the threat of eviction, even if you pay your rent, then this is the IDEAL place to live. However, if you want to live in affordable housing where issues are addressed immediately, then I would look else where. You will never be safe, secure and treated like a human being as long as you live at any of Garey Higdon's properties.
