I lived at Vieux Carre for 6 months and did enjoy my time there. There were pros to living there like having a balcony and the people that live there are mostly peaceful. Cons:I did not like how they had a roping system for gas because I felt like I was paying for everyone's gas, but the prices weren't too bad to freak out over. The only complaint that I would have is that when we were packing we started noticing mice droppings under the sink in the kitchen and that is when I noticed that there was duct tape painted over under the sink that had come undone. Sometimes I really do not understand why companies do this to save money because I reported the droppings and now they will have to pay an exterminator as well over something that could have been easily fixed for a little bit more money. However, I never heard or saw the mice, so they were never an issue.

You bet!!! I see mice droppings in my apartment at Vieux Carre too. They come and leave a sticky trap which is of no use. But what worries me is how the maintenance say an outright lie when they tell me that they have never seen something like this before and that this is the first time

Sounds like the typical Vieux Carre response. "That is the first time anybody has ever complained about that" I want to post pictures of what Vieux Carre really looks like. Damaged wood, Mice droppings, ants, water damage from the apartment next door, pot holes, stains on out door carpets that look like they are at least 20 years old.

OMG! This is so true. I have neer saw mice droppings, however about 2 weeks ago I started hearing something in my wall. I knew it was mice becuase in the house I grew up in we had a mice problem becuase it was a new sub division so there were a lot of field mice. Anyway, none be-hold 2 days later I was sitting on the couch and what do I see a mouse! I was so frightened. I couldnt sleep until my bf came home later that night. He put a sticky trap down and caught it. But I still hear then in the wall. I called office and they said they would send someone out the next day. My bf waits at apartment until 2:30pm b/c he had to leave for dr appoitment. No one ever leaves anything on the door to say that they came in. So I assumed they didnt. When I call the office to check on the matter they tell me that pest control came and treated the walls. When I ask if they are just going to leave dead mice in the wall. They tell me if I have any dead ones to call then and they will remove. How about if they are in the wall, I'm not going to see them dead. The office was very rude when I continued to ask questions about this. I still to this day hear them. And at night I hear stuff in my kitchen moving, so I know for a fact this place is mice infested. When I called maintenece for another issue, and informed the maintenance guy that I was stil hearing them, he acted as if this was the first time he had heard this. Then I see these reviews with the same situation as mine.I can not wait until my lease is up!!
